In Coraopolis again. Tomorrow to New Kensington, Pa and then to Paulsboro. That will do it for this cycle.
According to John (the guy who received the lube oil), his wife's
mother's sister. (Aunt, I guess) researched the derivation. She was a
college professor with PhDs etc, liked to read/research stuff and never
married because she was the type that drove men crazy --[his words] She
wrote and had published a pamphlet on the subject.
The river and falls were named by the first explorers in the region
who had heard of the Indian name that sounded similar to chagrin or a
least close to the sound. When they happened upon the falls/river which
appears suddenly out of nowhere and the discovery of its existance is
quite distressing and dangerous. So they were quite "CHAGRINED" by the
falls
